PTV Sports

PTV Sports is a 24-hour state-owned sports television channel run by the Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV). It serves as Pakistan’s primary terrestrial and satellite network for live sporting action, sports news, and analysis.

• Launch & HD Transition: Originally rooted in PTV’s sports division from the 1970s, it officially launched as a dedicated 24-hour sports channel on January 11, 2012. The channel made the complete transition to High Definition (HD) broadcasting in January 2022.

• Cricket Broadcasts: As cricket is the most popular sport in the region, PTV Sports regularly broadcasts major International Cricket Council (ICC) tournaments, Asian Cricket Council (ACC) matches, Pakistan Super League (PSL) fixtures, and bilateral series involving Pakistan.

• Multi-Sport Coverage: Beyond cricket, it provides live feeds and coverage for field hockey, football (including major FIFA tournaments), tennis, snooker, and multi-sport events like the Olympics and National Games.

• Signature Programming: In addition to live match feeds, the channel produces pre- and post-match analysis shows featuring former international athletes and analysts, notably its flagship discussion programs like Game On Hai! and Sports Circle
