Origins & Ownership: Founded by UAE-based businessman Abdul Rahman Bukhatir under Taj Television, it officially launched on April 1, 2002. Over the years, ownership evolved from Essel Group (Zee) to Sony, and later the Pakistani operations (via Tower Sports) were acquired by Hum Network. In India, the former Ten channels were integrated into the Sony Sports Network (Sony Sports Ten).
Cricket Broadcasting: It has historically been a fixture for international bilateral cricket, carrying broadcast rights for various national boards including England, Australia, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan, alongside global T20 leagues.
Global Football & Mixed Martial Arts: The channel is a major destination for European club football, including competitions such as the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and the German Bundesliga.
