The Caribbean Premier League (CPL), officially known as the Republic Bank CPL, is the premier professional Twenty20 cricket tournament in the West Indies. Founded by Cricket West Indies in 2013 to replace the Caribbean Twenty20, it is renowned for its carnival atmosphere, high-scoring contests, and passionate crowds.
Structure & Franchises: The league features island- and nation-based franchises across the Caribbean, including the Trinbago Knight Riders, Guyana Amazon Warriors, Barbados Royals, Saint Lucia Kings, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, and Antigua & Barbuda Falcons.

Most Successful Franchises: Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) is the most dominant team in tournament history, boasting five championship titles. The former Jamaica Tallawahs won three titles, while the Guyana Amazon Warriors have historically reached the most finals.
Statistical Milestones: Top-order batsman Johnson Charles leads the tournament’s all-time run-scoring charts, while mystery spinner Sunil Narine and all-rounder Dwayne Bravo are the league’s all-time leading wicket-takers.
